Movie Review Blood Money

Blood Money : Wasted Money

Well, kunal khemu is back again with new rom-com & action thriller  film Blood money, or we can say kalyug 2- the blood money . Blood Money is a 2012 Bollywood thriller film directed by Vishal Mahadkar, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The film stars Kunal Khemu and Amrita Puri in lead roles. The film was earlier titled Jannat 2 but was later changed to Blood Money , Mahesh Bhatt wanted to call this film 'Kalyug 2' but couldn't do so due to stiff opposition from his associates

But if you are looking for illegal diamond trade, caution is that the Bhatts are no Bhandarkar. Cannot expect much from a young man who moves into a risky job in Cape Town, that too with a ace diamond company gets trapped in big dark world of dare devilry, house of money, drugs and of course terrorism, for sure. Debutant director Vishal S. Mahadkar came up with less of an effort on delivering the exciting thriller and something fresh from the Visheh Films of love deceit, glamour and bold scenes and came out as Blood Money.

To be honest, the film is stylishly made, has been well crafted the shoot exceptionally acted by protagonist Kunal Kemu and Manish Choudhary, the cigar smoking boss of the young Kunal. But unlike all their previous films, the film has some of the most ordinary songs ever scored. This, even after they have called up the popular singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Sunidhi Chauhan.

This film Blood Money’s teaser trailer and posters of Kunal Khemu in the pool with a sexy bikini babes might bring you to the theater, think again. Upendra Sidhye who wrote the story is imaginable but the job done for the screening is barely rises above average. Director Vishal Mahadkar fetches decent performances from his cast. Kunal Khemu stands out as a man caught in personal and professional conflict.
Amrita Puri gets a lead role after her she fine job in Aisha, she delivered decent act. This film would came out with a better script and that could have worked some magic on the big screen. over-acting. The storyline is very predictable and debutante Vishal Mahadkar’s direction is treaty to the core.

Its surprises that Actor Kunal Khemu gone for a mediocre story. Sandeep Sikand sounds somewhat shaky. Karan Mehra is wasted. Give a chance for Bhatts, who came with a film of low quality and played risky for no commercial gains.
So in short, film has nothing new & not worthy for entertainment, I rate 2 stars out 5 just because of amrita & kunal’s acting performance.
