The second season of the biggest education festival and exhibition,
‘The Edutainment show’ envisioned by Deepak Choudhary, Director -Event Capital
& promoted by Laqshya Media group launched ‘The Edutainment Awards’- India’s
first ever most comprehensive evaluation and rating of media, design,
communication & entertainment education on April 26,
Saturday, JW Marriott, Juhu.
An eminent media educationist,
Prof Ujjwal K Chowdhury anchored this initiative with distinguished jury
members with the likes of Bhaskar Das- Group CEO, Zee Media Corporation Ltd,
Gokul Krishnamurthy- Editor Campaign India,
Sanjeet Saha- Star TV, Nikhil Garth D'rozario- Film producer, Veena Gidwani,
Brian Tellis-Director, Fountainhead Events, Pranjal Khindadiya- VP, Sony group,
Head, Sony Pictures, Samar Khan- Film expert, Preeti Vyas- Chairwoman at VGC
& Kanika Mohan Saxena- Marketing Head, Prime Focus amongst others.
The awards were meticulously charted out based on parameters
assessing the merit of the institutes across India(Performance figure of 2
years, infrastructure, affiliations, syllabi, alumni & network). The
domains where top ten rankings and top three awards were felicitated were studies in Films, Television, Radio,
Journalism, Advertising, Brand Communication, Fashion Design, Product Design,
etc. The top three colleges were felicitated with gold, silver and
bronze trophies to mark them as the top destinations for media, communication
and design.
Deepak Choudhary, Director and CEO -Event Capital said,

students information about the right institutes for them in the alternative
careers like design and communication which is doubling as an industry and
fast. The most important aspect is that these awards will bring to forefront

in the media industry.”
Prof Ujjwal K Chowdhury said,
“This being the most comprehensive nation-wide rating-ranking-awards in the
domain of media, communication and design education in India, we hope to place
before some 120,000 applicants to these institutes and university departments
every year a strong frame of reference, role-model institutes, best practices
therein, and also help the institutes a platform to meet the peers and share
learning for a higher level of professional education at Bachelors and Masters
levels in the near future.”
